Cross country(distance running) or track(sprints/middle distance) which is harder?

I am a sprinter and to me personally, it seems like cross country/distance runners have it hard. They train at least 30 miles a week. Weights and sprints doesnt seem to hard compared to that.
Im curios to see what other people think.

Sprint training involves a large amount of hard work. It just falls into a different category that middle distance and distance running. For every stride you run in a sprint race, you will run hundreds in training.

I would have to say that overall, distance is tougher and more time consuming. I haven't done much sprint based training, but from what I have, it seems like a very short-lived intense period of difficulty. With distance running, it is a steady stream of suck that lasts for a very long time. But don't take my word for it, or the opinions of anybody else. Try it for yourself! Go run a couple miles every now and then and see what it's like firsthand.
