Criminal Justice debate topic...help!?

Ok so I got assigned a topic for my CJ class that i need to prepare a debate on. My topic is 'Prisons should be allowed to have ethnically segregated units or buildings.' I am on the pro side, and I need to know the positives for this position. What do you think?

Remember, I need the positives of having ethnically segregated units or buldings, not the negatives. Thanks

Gangs tend to be racial clicks. Keeping a division between gangs could possibly lower internal fights and crime. (and I know not all gangs are race divided)
