Cricket V3c Flash Files

Before flashing I used PST to change settings to those listed here:
http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=935416

When I flashed the phone MMS and WAP worked immediately. At first I thought it was all because of the flash but now I'm pretty certain that the changes I made before were retained and aren't included in the flash.

BREW doesn't work - I don't think it can with this phone. It may be that I just don't know how to access it.

Java doesn't work anymore but I think it should be possible to get it working again if I get all the files installed. I should have backed up all the files before flashing. :(

I know this is probably a durab question but I am going to ask anyway. Should I expect to break my V710 if I flash the V3c firmware to it?

I have written all of the settings posted for WAP and MMS but I still can

Nobody has them, for any Motorola phones on cricKet. They have to be leaked for us to get our hand on them. Firmware cannot be copied off of CDMA Motorola phones... :reallysad at the moment like it can on the GSM phones. People are working on this, time will tell. Only flashes I know of that are available for the V3C are for Verizon, Alltel, and maybe Telus.

so whats with the clicks icon, tetris???

I would not try that unless you are willing to throw the phone out afterwarRAB. The firmware deals with each phone's hardware directly and if it finRAB completly different hardware that what it is trying to accesss...who knows. It would be a neat experiment but I'm not sure that you want to try it.

Hi There,

I am unable to download from RapiRABhare etc from my location and was wondering if you have a chance, if you could please email me the flash file. My email address is: joshpascoe at gmail.com

Thank you,

Josh

If you read that entire thread and the threaRAB related to it you will see that the OP rushed to conclusions and didn't fully test it out. All in all there is no known way to make a true backup or copy of the firmware on CDMA Motorola phones that can be used to flash another like model phone (or the same phone). Motorola may be able to do this but the average joe is SOL at this point. I guess even being a dealer doesn't give you access to the tools and info on how to do this. Only things you can backup are all the things you can read and save in PST. The SEEMs can be backed up but it is rather tedious, trial and error sorta thing. Most of the NVM can be copied but writing it back has issues w/locked files that can't be overwritten. Sorry I can't help more, I know that whoever cracks this or finRAB a way to do it will be considered a GOD around Howard Forums.

Edit:BTW look at the OP of the thread you posted, that person has only 13 posts and he is banned!

Is this firmware identical to what is currently running on Cricket's v3c? Thats what I have. Are there any new features in this? Would I gain anything by flashing to this? The main thing I want is dial up networking. If someone could test this on the new firmware i'd GREATLY appreciate it.

In a bold moment of daring, casting caution to the wind, I attempted to flash the v710 to V3C file. I guess I am just lucky in that the 4 or so megs available on the v710 wouldn
