Cricket unlimited Vegas plans

Okay so Cricket just came to the Vegas market less then a month ago and they are offering $39.99 unlimited talk and text plan. The price is too good to be true since no other service would dare go that low. I was debating on getting a phone and checking it out. How is your cricket experiences?

lol we all have cricket here and yes its that good and blows away other carriers. i have the $50 unlimited plan with unlimited internet and roaming in all metropcs markets.

I have been using cricket since day 1 in Vegas (may 15th) and I love there service. It works great around the valley.

If you are comparing cricket to a fee & fee in Las Vegas, you will be blown away, WAY better coverage and better voice quality. I talk to a few people that use a fee & fee here, and they drop calls constantly, well they do when they are talking to me, and they pay more for there service than I do, soo.

I am on the $50 a month plan w/ roaming using the Jetset.

No pretty crackberrys or iphones on cricket, but if you are looking for a phone that can make calls and send sms/mms messages they are hard to beat, you will not be disappointed.

The debatable downsides to cricket are the image that people have of pre-pay cellular companies, and how they are somehow a lower class, but that is mostly a vanity thing.

The second thing that is if you leave Vegas and go to like Utah, you will be paying for roaming, but if you go to San Diego and LA like I do, you will be covered. MetroPCS and Cricket just signed cross roaming deals which will benefit both companies, and pretty much cover most places that people go to. There are some other threaRAB around discussing this.

The phone selection isn't the greatest, but if you aren't vein and you want good coverage, make phone calls and be able to text and mms and not worry about your bill going up, then cricket is for you.

Let me know if you have any other questions, cricket is bar none a first rate carrier in the Las Vegas Valley, and not once have I ever wanted to switch, my wife has, but only for the vanity of having a crackberry, but after we priced out how much that will cost us to get what we have now, she decided against it. I think it was almost $70 a month more than what we are paying now to go with tmobile vs cricket for unlimited coverage on 2 phones.

I have Cricket and travel between Vegas and Utah all the time, and rarely drop a call even going through the mountians, Plus you can take nearly every phone Verizon has (IE the LG Dare) have it flashed and boom, you have a high quality phone with full Internet picture text and regular text, movies mp3's etc. all on one of the best month to mont unlimited phone plans out there period (in my opinion). I will say everyone I asked about cricket at work with all said bad things like service sucks etc. but none of them have used it so that didn't mean much.

Vegas is a AWS Market so you need to use one of the AWS phones. Unfortunatley no Sprint or Verizon phones can be flashed yet, but has soon has more phones are tri-band compatible because Verizon did some aws spectrum, then yeah game on.

Roaming coverage is great, but I am not sure where in Utah roaming is, and what is cricket coverage. I know the SLC is covered by cricket, but not sure where on the 15 is and isn't without roaming. I've never not had coverage with my cricket phone, roaming or not.

there is a plan to cover the corridor into SLC as native home coverage (or at least most of it). there is also plan to cover the drive from AZ (Tucson->Phoenix->Vegas). at least that was my understanding. I'm not in that market, so I don't really know the details, but cricket has some good stuff coming and the agreement with metro is just the beginning.
