I have been using cricket since day 1 in Vegas (may 15th) and I love there service. It works great around the valley.
If you are comparing cricket to a fee & fee in Las Vegas, you will be blown away, WAY better coverage and better voice quality. I talk to a few people that use a fee & fee here, and they drop calls constantly, well they do when they are talking to me, and they pay more for there service than I do, soo.
I am on the $50 a month plan w/ roaming using the Jetset.
No pretty crackberrys or iphones on cricket, but if you are looking for a phone that can make calls and send sms/mms messages they are hard to beat, you will not be disappointed.
The debatable downsides to cricket are the image that people have of pre-pay cellular companies, and how they are somehow a lower class, but that is mostly a vanity thing.
The second thing that is if you leave Vegas and go to like Utah, you will be paying for roaming, but if you go to San Diego and LA like I do, you will be covered. MetroPCS and Cricket just signed cross roaming deals which will benefit both companies, and pretty much cover most places that people go to. There are some other threaRAB around discussing this.
The phone selection isn't the greatest, but if you aren't vein and you want good coverage, make phone calls and be able to text and mms and not worry about your bill going up, then cricket is for you.
Let me know if you have any other questions, cricket is bar none a first rate carrier in the Las Vegas Valley, and not once have I ever wanted to switch, my wife has, but only for the vanity of having a crackberry, but after we priced out how much that will cost us to get what we have now, she decided against it. I think it was almost $70 a month more than what we are paying now to go with tmobile vs cricket for unlimited coverage on 2 phones.
