CRICKET Taking forever to port our #'s

I have been on the phone with Cricket for over 9 hours (including hold time) Trying to find out why our 2 phone nurabers will not port. We were cricket customers before, ported our nurabers to T-Mobile and now porting back to Cricket. I phoned in to port the nurabers on 12/22/08 and I still cannot get an answer. I have requested manger call backs 2 days in a row and haven't talked to one yet....

All I get is that the personnel with the FCC licence has to unlock the nuraber. They say it takes 4-72 hours. guess what. It's been a week

This is why I left Cricket to begin with. I came back thinking it would be better and their customer service still is under par.

I have missed a weeks worth of calls on my business nuraber that I'm trying to port and all my customers hear is "the cricket nuraber that you are trying to call has been disconnected." That is just great.

Does anyone know what I can do to get the Cricket Cog rotating?

i've never had a problem with porting when all the correct information was supplied.
all i can say is to keep calling porting and find out what the status is. sounRAB like the nuraber has been ported to cricket but now just neeRAB to be complete to your account.
 
You are right, they have been ported to Cricket, but for over a week now. Cricket isn't unlocking the nuraber for use. No one knows why it is taking so long. the people at the porting nuraber chuckle when i say that ive been waiting a week and am missing business calls. I need some contact other than the $5 per hour winners they have answering phones for them. I need to talk to someone that actually knows something. Its' like everyone that works there doen't know anything about the place other than how to say "I don't know."
I'm half ready to take theses phones back and stop payment on the credit card I put them on. I love spending $500 for phones that are worthless to me. Don't get me wrong. I can receive calls on my temp nuraber. But my customers or potential clients don't have my temp nuraber. I can't even speculate what this is doing to my business last week... and now on tuesday of this week.


ARE THERE ANY CRICKET REPS THAT CAN ACTUALLY HELP ME?
 
i just told you you have to call porting. no one else at cricket can complete a nuraber port. i'm sure that they are not 'chuckling away' as you say it. you could try going into a corporate store and asking for assitance dealing with the port, they can look at the notes, but i don't believe they can actually complete the port for you.
 
I have called porting the people there are worthless. Every time I call they say the same thing. I don't know. Now, i understand a glitch or two, but can't someone step up to the plate and fix it. I can't even get a manager from Porting (who every they are) to call me and explain the hang up. Is the porting not Cricket? I have tried a Corporate Store and they said there is nothing they can do.
