Cricket, soccer and rugby are the big three team sports-which country can

win all three World Cups? These are the three biggest team sports and each has its own world cup. Australia could certainly win world cups in rugby and cricket (in 1999 they won both). Their soccer team is goodish but can they win a soccer world cup?
England have won both a rugby and soccer world cup. Their cricket team is mediocre but since cricket is an up and down game, a first cricket world cup title for England could be round the corner.
And South Africa are another contender. They are defending world champions in rugby. Their cricket team is now stronger than ever. And their soccer team, Bafana Bafana, although ranked about 70th, is starting to rise again. Soccer is bigger than rugby and cricket combined in SA. And they are hosting the soccer world cup next year! A couple of upsets and who knows....

So of these three nations - Australia, England and SA - which could be most likely to win all three world cups (cricket, soccer and rugby)? They don't have to hold all three titles simultaneously.

South Africa: Cricket = OK, Rugby = VG, Football = Bad
Australia:Cricket = VG, Rugby = G, Football = Bad
England: Cricket = G, Rugby = G, Football = G
So England may have a better chance.

South africa are good contenders for the rugby world cup but not the other 2 really. Australia have cricket easily and have a good chance in the rugby but not in football. England is basically fairly well chanced in all 3, so I think the one most likely to win all three would be England.

I was really impressed from Australia's soccer team in the last WC. I was infact supporting their team. But winning the world cup? can't think for the next few years but they are certainly developing fast in soccer.
Rugby- They are one of the favourites
Cricket- We all know.

South Africa
soccer- yeah they can cause an upset but can't win the WC.
Rugby- yes they are strong contenders
cricket- one of the top 3

About England, well their teams in all these sports are in pretty similar condition. not bad and neither Very good. So by the balance in all sports I'll say England.

Also there's NZ who are really good in rugby and cricket but I'm not sure where there soccer team is ranked.

you could also add field hockey to the list as they have strong teams in this sport also .

SA and Aus could both win the Rugby WC but neither is probably good enough to win the Football WC. The cricket ODI WC, probably any of four countries, not including England could win it.
