Cricket Shutting off service for no reason

Does anyone else have the issue of cricket just turning off phones for no reason? My bill isn't due til the 13th, and this is the second time this month they have shut off my 2 phones for no reason. I know I didn't go over my minutes.

You have minutes? I thought this is unlimited calling...?!?

I called cricket with the internet issue everyone is talking about. They told me they are having major network problems. This may be a reason why.

I've had Cricket as a main provider from 2002-06... they cut me off 3 times in that period, even if the bill was paid... if it's saying "not authorized" it may be just that - network issues, or you're out of service range (?) Call cc to see if its anything else related specifically to your account

Wow not only did they shut off my phones for no reason but they gave someone else my fiancee's phone nuraber already. Wow. This will be fun.

**** cricket.

So are they really having internet issues right now? My Mogul can only connect to Google and is giving me error message for any other sites. :crying:

wow... sorry to hear that, but these types of business practices (along with their ***** lineup of hanRABets  ) made me & my girlfriend leave them...

Their constant recycling of nurabers irks me as well, maybe you can take it up with a supervisor? This def. sounRAB like a big mistake on their part

I am heading down to a store right now to handle this. This is total bs, I think that I'd rather deal with a contract than deal with this ****. I don't mind recycling a nuraber, but wait til the bill is past due to do it. It isn't due for what another 6 days? Anyways, I may just grab a tmobile phone and say **** it.

Funny thing is when I go to the website I still have the #, even though someone else clearly answers it now.

nope. they wai AT LEAST 30 days before reassigning a phone nuraber. you may have been the victim of some kind of identity theft.... or seeing that you're in vegas it may be some issue related to being in a new market???

there are also a handful of legitimate reasons beside non-payment that cricket would shut off an account... particularly in the middle of the month... non payment would shut off immediately after the beginning of a new billing cycle.

Well cricket got me all handled. I got my # back and both phones are on.

Somehow a rep over at the blvd mall got into my account (why not sure), changed the sn of my wife's phone to one of the phones that someone bought last night and added two other phones that this person bought.

The manager over at the trop store got me all taken care of, very friendly.

Removed the phones that shouldn't have been their in the first place and got it all cleaned up. I guess that their were some other issues from when I first signed up (first day they were in Vegas)

I won't personally be recommending cricket to anyone for the next few months, until they stop shutting me off every two weeks for no reason. But they did take care of the problem and were really friendly, other than not being able to get ahold of tech support on 611.

I will update in a month or two with my personal experience with cricket.

Perhaps it is just growing pains in a new market.

: / When I first read this thread's title, I thought you meant the whole company was shutting down service....

; ) Of course, I took it with a grain of salt, since I'm posting this via Cricket Internet on my Palm Tr
