cricket refusing to change plans for people with flash phones

Just called direct cricket customer support with no problems (866-938-2797 ENGLISH). Cancelled, called back few minutes later and re-activated my mogul with no problems.
They just claim no guarantees for mms and data like they have always done with flashed pdas and THEY are ok. Bottom line, No changes for foreign esn's with cricket . You just cant call and cry when you dont get your evdo prl loaded when you ota and you mms is not working along with data.
I always activated as a razor but activated again and said it was a flashed pda to prove a point and it worked. Think the issue here is lack of communication and experience dealing with the yohos that answer the phone when you call cricket.
 
If Anyone is interested I can do ESN Changes for only $8.00...It will be much easier than calling those cricket cs who barley talk straight and this is much cheaper..! ONLY $8.00 ESN CHANGES!! PM ME or $14 FOR TWO ESN CHANGES!!

I have had a few customers tell me that there are some local dealers and especially Spanish customer service refused to activate their flashed phones.
I was also with a customer a couple of months ago and he called Spanish CS and they refused to activate his phone. I called English CS and activated it right after that with just the normal resistance of rep telling me that MMS and web would not work.
I thought it was only with Spanish speakers but it looks like maybe there might be something coming down the lines to where Cricket might want to reclaim some of their lost revenue on hanRABets.
 
Guys Cricket CS has no idea if the phone is a flashed hanRABet. They don't know and don't care. The only time it's an issue is when you want to activate and the system tells them you not eligible for the first month free. Simple as that. Cricket does not care what you add to your account. If you add WAP to your none wap hanRABet...so be it. No one cares if its a foreign ESN. The only reason they ask is that in the system they use they have to select a phone model...They don't use CID/CINDI

FWIW I do ESN changes for a dollar...lol JK
 
When a care rep states they can't/won't do this or that, it's simply a training issue. This is why some people call and it goes easy (like some of the above posters) and some don't get anywhere.
We don't care if every sub we have adRAB WAP to their line
 
i know that i was informed of that, but i am on a regular basis told by dealer support that they are unable to do.. esn change because they use cid and their system is down too. that's right... they tell me that they use cid also.

also, i can buy the training issue for when a customer calls in, but why do they tell dealers that. additionally if it is just a training issue as you have described, then why is care instructing people to do an esn change, then add WAP, then change back.

i think your knowledge of care, like most cricket employees i have met, is severely off base, and why not, how often do you have to call them? I call them every freaking day multiple times and have first hand knowledge of what they can and cannot do.

i have a solid relationship with my IAMs. i am regularly informing them of what is actually going on on the ground in the field. they do not have the same first hand experience that we have in the stores.

since you have resorted to attacking me i am assuming that you do not have a response to the question posed here.

Tired the above suggest and got denied :( The site give me no function to add the $5 web, instead it tells me to call CS.

i have always had my phone be recognized as a RAZR and i did have a problem with it but its alot simpler than u think just wen ur done activatin call tech support and tell em u dont have wap andtheyll b all like well u dont have it on ur plan wudu lyk me 2 add it for u and then u shud be all lyk chyea n ur golden, also if your good enough when you first activate the cs will ACTUALLY PUT UR FONE DOWN AS AN ORIGINAL CRICKET ONE! when i calld to activate my mogul they put it down as a RAZR2 so i can change my account online n wat not LoL just b an *** wit dem act mad wen ur not n insist its a dang razr
 
When I activate people's phones or do ESN swaps for them I just change their phone model to razr, nokia, or one of the other phones w/ wap and mms. That way if they ever do have to call cricket for anything there are no hassles.

so far seems to work alright.
 
Woot Woot. :clapping: Went to on of the local corp stores today and got all set up. All web features working. I can access any site I want. :buddies: Man, I love my new Q a lot more then the 6700 I replaced it with. :2thurabs:
