cricket refusing to change plans for people with flash phones

in louisville if you get flashed phone make sure you have the unlimited mobile web first because once you get your phones switch they will not add it to ur plan
 
That's funny, here in Utah, customer service won't do crap for me, but if I walk into a corporate store, they've been able to do whatever I want.
 
If Cricket refuses to add WAP to your plan, head to wap.cricket.motricity.com, try to go anywhere on that page, get an error saying you must sign up for mobile web, click "Sign Up for $5 a month" and bam, you've got web on your account without having to say a word to anyone.

Be advised, however, that by doing this, you could be cheating yourself out of some features. As an example, I used to be on the $45 plan and wanted web. I could either add web from the site for $5 or I could upgrade to the $50 plan that included web and unlimited directory assistance (not that I've used it once in my life, but...).
 
ok. let me explain this, or attempt to as i have explained this before. the reason that CS will not add WAP is because the program they use (CID-CSR) will not give them that option if the esn is not recognized as a cricket esn. it is the same for authorized dealers. you have to get access to the main billing system to manually add codes to the account. CID will not give you the option to add a feature it doesn't think the phone will work with. the fact that it will actually work is irrelevant. don't blame the CS. they are not refusing anything. blame the people that designed the application.

You dont have to tell them anything about your phone. Tell cricket its a razor and your esn and all is good. Telling the cricket dips that answer the phone you have a flashed PDA only causes confusion and headaches for both parties involved. Why would you tell the I cant speak english dip shet you have a flashed PDA anyway, must be ASKING for trouble and confusion if you ask me.
Hi cricket here is my esn for my razor, please activate me, thank you bye. Then manual load evdo prl if needed. That simple cut and dry. I have found getting roaming prl to work another story and a big battle with cricket in my area. Im needy, In very good area(portland, but move around now and then for work) need roaming 20% of the time and if your needy with a flashed pda cricket aint for you. Sucks needing roaming prl OTAed to your flashed phone is called needy. I tried all kinRAB of prls for roaming to no avail and only get 1040 on OTA.
OR, are you saying cricket no longer is accepting foreign ESNs for data and service and being picky???? Please explain your problem in detail but I say BS to this claim if it is so. Think it has to do with miscom skills with the $3 dollar an hour guy from malasia-india or whereever the hell they are from you are speaking to.
 
So true I was on the 45 dollar plan. I knew I was going to get a phone and flash it so I upgraded using the web, didn't think it would work but it did. Now when my sister swapped her esn, I played with her phone for 2 hours straight. Then she calls CS and she doesn't have the internet on her plan. Well we tried to upgrade her flashed phone. OMG. They told her she would have to disconnect the flashed phone, go back to her cricket phone, upgrade to the internet, then swap the esn again back to the flashed phone. She was stressed I'm thinking man what did I get her into. I totally forgot all about doing on the phone's internet.

Oh yeah about the 411 (1-800-373-3411) Free from any phone.
 
it is this new to me because i just change the phone i used to a dual and i had no problem but a few people i flashed phone for said they could not get internet add to there plan maybe there losing more money excepted with allowing foreign dec in there database. i know thousand of people who want there phone flash and i like the side money because store only put the prl on the phone i give people the whole package for less and in louisville you can get a touch for dirt cheap now

Cricket uses a totally different system from CID.
CID was created for dealers to use.
If you are internal Cricket you can do just about anything you want.

Are you guys only having issues when calling in or at the corporate store locations as well?
 
do you work for cricket? are you sure about that?
Customer Care that you call on the phone through *611 or 1-800-CRICKET uses CID-CSR (Customer Service Rep). Dealers use CID-ISR (Indirect Sales Rep). If you can get through the first line of defense at CS and talk to a supervisor or tech support, they will have direct access to the billing system (HO). At least that's how I understand it.
If you walk into a corporate store, they will also be using HO.

Technically Cricket people have both CID and HO access.
HO is used almost all the time since its has more functionality.
This is why when CID goes down the dealer hotline and CS are still up and running.
 
If thats the case look up healthman345 and check out his sig. $10 and bam your done. Can you still do it healthman345?? You Might give him a looksee and a few others here.
Just dont buy the foreighn esn crap with cricket, but I may be wrong, Wouldnt be the first time or last.. Please confirm MAFIA
 
I still think its a money thing everybody in louisville who has cricket has a flash phone even the people that work for cricket because there phones suck
 
nope. when CID goes down they (dealer hotline) tell me they use CID too and they can't do anything.

I realize that HO has much more functionality, hence why corporate stores can add but CARE cannot.
if what you say is true then please offer a better explanation why customer care routinely denies adding WAP or Roaming to lines that have foriegn esn's on them!
