Cricket POP3 down??

I am currently trying to connect to Verizon and Gmail with Snapper mail client, and not having any luck. POP33 was working fine in the Pittsburgh area as of 8/07/2007 however, I, and others have not been able to connect via POP3. Any others having this problem?
 
Cricket is preping for evdo. They are truning on and off services left and right * At least in are market* They even droped the Proxy server for testing for almost a day. A lot of phones in are area do not even have cricket wap and sometimes picture messaging. My two actuall cricket phones cant even log on to wap yet keep getting 403 forbiden
 
I was wondering what was going on. I'll just have to use web mail until they get it together. By the way, had anyone been able to get smpt working? I never did.
 
You guys have POP3 in your market? I tried to get access to POP3 here in Portland Oregon and was unsuccessful. I called CS and they said it was not available... which I didn't really understand.
 
no, he was trying to connect to a couple other 3rd party pop 3 services. cricket does not offer email. un-officially mms works 75% of the time to send and receive email, but with some servers the messages seem to not get through.
 
just wondering man, this may b a durab question, but whats the outgoing server address. I know once u set up web2mail that will give u incoming. But is that the only way to set up pop or imap email?
 
Whats good people ? in desparte need of some help,palm treo 650 on cricket network with working internet,but versamail not co-operating at all can't get email to work .My cable company(Time Warner road runner) settings are as follows,pop-server.triad.rr.com & smtp-server.triad.rr.com.Can anyone be of assisstance ? i'd greatly appreciate it
 
read b4 you ask...this is a thread stating that you will not get pop3 or smtp on cricket...

mail2web push is the best you can do...son't know if it's palm compatible...
