Cricket PDA's are really coming

where did you get this info ? This phone cricket could not sell without at least asking 399.99 for the phone if not more, i highly doubt this.....

but who knows......when cricket says something, i usually dont believe it until it happens

yeah they are but cricket doesnt usually get newer phones. But then again i know alot of these phones we have been talking about are comming soon, because their in CINDI.

id only see ports opened if indeed a data plan is added on, i dont see them opening ports just for the phone though.

i myself wouldnt pay 40-50 more a month to cricket for data thoguh

I would pay for data as well.
crwinger..Cricket blocks all ports (email 25 and 110 ect) except 80 and 8080,so it is difficult if not impossible to get data to work on phones.

with respect to the date, coming form engadget i'd imagine they were one of the first to break the story and show us the phone. seeing that this phone is supposed to be released on verizon soon (read as it's not old and outdated) i don't think cricket is really behind on anything here.

we all know that cricket is looking to come out with a smart phone. january/february is probably the best time as that's when sales blow through the roof for cricket and people have lots of money from tax refunRAB. i'd imagine this coming out around the same time that data carRAB go form trial status to actual regular status minus all the secret code names and stuff.

With new phones on the Horizon allready for the Christmas season, I can see the next go around for phones is going to be around Febuary. That is a safe bet. Once I hear more on this I will fill you all in.

With EVDO on the horizon and PC carRAB already available, a PDA would only make sense. The only problem is that Cricket charges a premium for their hanRABets, making a PDA seem very unlikely for their market.

Perhaps as they grow.

Does Cricket offer business accounts? I could see an "Enterprise" package that would include unlimited data and tethering bundled with a mid-to-low-end PDA.

Hopefully nothing by Kyocera..... ;)
