Cricket in St. Louis question

I seen that Cricket will be launching in the Lou on June 10th. Anyone know if this will also be an AWS market as well??? I hope not.

yes, that will be an AWS market.


if you go to www.mycricket.com/cricketcoveragemaps and put in a non-AWS market the national map that comes up will indicate which markets are AWS.

unless they purchase or trade for additional 1900MHz spectrum from someone else. This is not out of the realm of possibilities. But yes all foreseeable launches will be AWS markets requiring TRI-BAND devices.

No. there is no way to add the 1700MHz band to a phone that does not have the hardware to access that band. this has been discussed. it sucks but it was the only way cricket was able to get into these new markets. so your choices are suck it up and get a cricket phone that is TRI-BAND, or stick with another carrier, until some more TRI-BAND phones are released
