Cricket Dealers-- Your thoughts on new phone inventory?

I am in the Cincinnati market and we can't order most of the new phones. I can order:
2 Captr A200
2 BB8530
4 Domino
5 Stunt
10 Modems
Nothing else..

1) Are you dealing with the same inventory issues in your markets?
2) Are some dealers getting preferential treatment on allocations?
3) Are your IAMs able to modify your allocations? Mine is saying NO..
4) Is anyone hearing when inventory levels will be back to normal?
5) I would be out of business if we didn't sell used phones.. how about you?

Thanks,
Chris

1. yes, same issues.
2. I'm sure the busiest stores are getting a few more allocations of phones
3.My IAM pretty much refuses to talk about it at this point
4. I know we are getting allocations on a couple phones tomorrow, but not the phones I want.
5. I had a meeting with a Boost rep yesterday, and signed up to start selling them. Of course Cricket said they would probably drop me if I did, but I have to do what is necessary to stay in business.

Yes same issue here in Albuquerque... Only we have durab IAM This week alone I have caught them in two lies.... Tell the dame truth!!! I went throught the bankruptcy back in 2002 this is how it all started grrrrr Cricket should hire smarter people

are you guys premier dealers? have you ever thought about moving to a differenct carrier? i'm facing the same issues and am about to open 2 more stores. i'm very strongly considering moving to boost but i'm worried that i may regret my decision.

anybody else feel like this may be the final straw for you?

I am Premier and one of few stores in the Kansas City market that is high volume and we getting very little allocations. I sell out of the phones before they arrive by fedex. We take deposits. I am getting really sick of the inventory problems this been going on for 8 months now and is getting worse.

What has helped is selling used phones.

Moving forward with the new hanRABets but still behind as always. But its a promising idea that we are continuing to move forward somewhat. I just dont understand the need to have phones without cameras?

Before you jump on the Boost bandwagon, just be aware that a few months ago, they were experiencing similar problems. Your orders would be placed on backordered and released weeks, and at its worst point, over a month later... and even then, maybe only partially filled.

A lot of companies in all industries slimmed down their inventory with the economic downturn. When sales spike though, that is a consequence.

Start ordering flashed hanRABets or go to walmart, buy the cheap $20 phones, flash them, then sell, Cricket doesn't give first month free anymore so it won't matter on the final price. That's the best choice you have right now, and since Cricket is starting to grow more i wouldn't concider dropping them.

Things are getting better.. We now have MSGM8 IIs and the samsung touches. Hopefully it keeps getting better. I would like to get my hanRAB on some Captr IIs. We really need a low priced flip phone.. or any flip phone for that matter. It's funny that I have not had any flip phones for weeks.

having a gaping hole in the $20-$80 price range really does suck but i'm really worried about why the captr II is taking so long to release. i can't imagine that a basic phone like that would be hard to sort out but the last thing i need is a txtm8 part 2.
