Cricket Broadband as Phone

I work for a Cricket franchise store and i know that when i activate a broadband modem it gives me a phone nuraber aka mdn and a min nuraber
I also read in an old topic that the card could technically place calls since its basically a phone. I would just like to know can it be done and how could it be done and has anyone tried it and suceeded

any answers appreciated
 
i believe the modem is not capable of making voice calls. the plan however may technically be able to, but it is only available to cricket broadband esn's. mlets leave it at that ok?
 
i believe you can make phone calls and its basically the 40 dollar cricket voice plan. i wouldnt really rely on it for that though. i hear MMS doesn't work on it.
 
same way you make a verizon LG phone work on your cricket account. You program the NAM. I have no problem discussing using the MIN/MDN of a broadband account on a cell phone. If you are paying for a broadband line and a cellular line and decide to place the broadband MIN/MDN on your cellular phone to have proxy free internet, go for it.

Also this is already beign discussed in the data card forum.
 
I'd also like to add that doing anything other than just using the MIN/MDN on a voice line for proxy free wap shouldn't be discussed.
