It's no conspiracy. All it is is that the service books here where originally for sale. They where for sale because someone actually spent time and effort to modify these for Cricket. Then more people got a hold of them and now there available for free on the intertubes. And now you have them. And now on to to CDMA Workshop. Sorry bud. On this one, you just have to purchase it. You mentioned you flash phones. Then this program is indispensable as part of your flashing arsenal. I purchased it and also purchased the Service Books from Tony for the store I work at. It was a good investment and I can say that in less than a day and a half, the investment paid off. Now the problem lies in people who get their hands on a cool new phone, they google for a quick way to get their phones fully working on cricket or metro. And google lands them right smack in the middle of a cell-phone flashing war-zone. And really the outcome of this is no ones fault. Noobs are usually treated so because answering and catering to each and everyone of their questions would take up the majority of the time of the people who contribute here. Add to that the fact that most noobs are not really "noobs" in the sense of the word as its used here. A noob would be considered so if he was starting out in the phone flashing circles. If he wanted to do this for a living or on the side of their weekly incomes. Most "noobs" are just people who are looking for a quick solution to a problem and they never intend to stick around and help other members or provide solutions of their own. That in itself is the reason I believe most users who have been here for a while are reluctant to help the new people and they usually direct them to do the searching and investigating themselves. So in short, on behalf of the whole HoFo community, welcome and get CDMA Workshop and either take up flashing seriously or continue looking for cracked versions of it and suffer the eternal onslaught of virii and malware associated with cracked software sites. Seriously though, good luck with everything. ( I had more things to say but I had to cut it short cause I got to get to work where I flash phones for a living.....)

I have a few things to say about this. Im really thankful you took the time to write this. I saw that you said that you consider your self a noob. Its funny because while i read this i was thinking that i really don't know what kinda guy the others regard you as and at this point i don't care. You seem knowledgeable and actually tell things how they are and that i can respect!
Next to CDMA workshop. This one is a fun one to discuss because 108 bucks is a damn lot of money for some people. For me however im going to spend it. Because i see the potential of this program and how it will help me in my life. I don't flash phones professionally. There are so many adds on CL here about that. I flash for me and my friends and that is it. But i love my cheap cricket provider and i love having the cool phones that cost me a fraction to operate compared to my friend. My friend priced up a droid tonight on verizon. 3 phones 80 or more a month + 50 a line and it would cost them so much money. The phone was 250 and that was W/2 year contract.
On to the turf war. I understand the BS that goes on. I my self am NOT a noob when it comes to computers and cars and video games. I have people begging me to tell them stuff when i Clearly write instructions and discuss possibilities and make a huge attempt at accommodating the commonly asked questions. 6+ people a day ask me questions that if they took the time to read the first sentence of my description or watch the first 10 sec of my video they would have there damn answer. I cant tolerate that.
This is different tho. Its really confusing at times where to post on this sight. And i really get the impression that most people ***** at others about the search function just because they are to lazy to answer a question or simply recall where they saw something. Also like when an insecure noob calls foul on some one with out giving a chance just to point a finger so they look good and the OP looks like a fool. This has some times been the case i notice. Like on this journey looking to put my BB on cricket. I seriously looked and one thing i saw was people asking questions that were common questions and vague answers being given and the thread is Fing worthless to me but some how that counts as being what im looking for and i should just be satisfied with the contents that get me no further then i was before. Its maddening.
Im a noob at this i guess but at least i try... Not only do i try but i contribute where ever i can. As in my previous posts not only was i asking for info of the forum, I offered money and also made notes for other like minded people to follow my progress and to learn from my mistakes or misinterpretations that should be noted for ease of the process. Also i get emails asking for help where im the last guy some one comes to after reading posts i have made on here and i do my best to give it to them straight and help out. I have made a few friends like this! I read a thread about people talking about how it was not fair to give info out on here and how these people flash phones to put bread on the table. I cant knock this but holy crap i 6K a year at my day job and i do a lot of side jobs to supplement. I do business on CL selling and buying phone "not flashed Because it would be to much work IMO" But some of these people i meet are clearly dealers and boy they are some sleaze balls. And let me be the first to say it... They are among us and that's what i picture when people talk crap to me about stuff i want to know about. I picture these sleaze balls that are on the same level as used car sales men. And just knocking us guys who are legit down because of greed when so clearly if some one lives nowhere near you how the hell would i be edging on your market? I don't even care to sell phones. This is a hobby that i enjoy. I don't mind paying once in a while. I like doing things for my self and learning new things.
I have respect for the people that took the time to figure this crap out. But why do you think your so special? In my world And believe me there are 3, I make innovations and modifications, improvements and creativity that i think should instantly qualify me for a degree. And i don't make a dime on hardly any of it. I INVENTED a way for people to glitch and get the most money from forza 3 among other things. I get a lil bit of credit but mostly just people copy my custom designs and TUT's. I know how this goes and its a ***** some times. That was just one example. I have others not related to Fiction that i could have made so much bank on but instead i was copied and now some one makes money on my ideas and i don't get a cut or nothing. Its called contributing because when you do some thing and its the it thing to do and people steal it at least you know that your brain invented that and the money and fame for it would be nice but really your ideas will help to shape the future and that is priceless. That's how i feel, and i may be stepping on toes here but that why i feel i deserve to have access to help on this forum. I give give give give give in more ways than anyone i know personally. So why not take at least its all fair that way like its all one giant Eco system of sharing ideas and people stealing them for profit. No one keep secrets these days so i have learned that you can keep **** hidden or you can share it with the world but you CAN NOT do both. And i accept that.
Sorry for long winded thing but it feels good to say some of that. Its not like many IT people on this forum cared enough to post on my previous comments so why not lol. Im 99% sure many others feel the way i do. And i hope they speak up and get heard. Or at least get frustration off there mind.
Also im reminded now that i think about it that I wrote up a how to TUT on turning a 240sx from Auto to Manual and wouldn't know know it that the 4/14/09 issue of project car covers this topic using direct quotes from my TUT and not a damn mention of me or my work. Also there is a company that dose RHD swaps on these cars that started after i wrote a TUT on this and lots of people have done this but i had never heard of the exact way i do it until after i wrote it up and its now distributed all over car forums in the interwebz!
Look...SHARE what you find with others, EXCHANGE ideas, GROW as a community (if you share cdm*wrkshp 3.0 w/others, they're not going to send you another bill!
