cricket and international roaming*******

ok so i went on vacation to mexico and accidently took my cricket phone......... i was curious and dialed *228 and the phone said "grasias por llamar unephone porfavor espere mientras su telefono es programado" which means thanxs for calling unephone please wait while ur phone is being programmed.......ok wut does this mean??? after the *228 i was able to call 611 and acces the unephone representatives there was also an option that said add funRAB in spanish..... i went to the unephone website and found out that they are a mexican cdma provider nad they offer some of the phones that cricket offers! even better ones!!! how come they have better services!!!!! uuugh thats not cool!! u guys check out their features! i thought we would be more advanced for some reason thats pretty sad lol but yea back to the main point wut do ya'll think?? has anybody else tried this???
 
damn! i also realised that their phones are like doubled the price over there too lol the slider remix is 4,000+ pesos lol which would b like $400 right??? damm
 
What did they say calls would cost? I am going to mexico this weekend, I have been using movistar in mexico but I am always open to new options.
