Creepiest scene from a movie

My creepiest movie scenes come from A Nightmare on Elm Street.

1) The intro of Freddy Krueger - from the part where he calls for Tina outside her bedroom window to finally killing her.The menacing and maniacal way Freddy looked in that scene still chills me to this day. Some great intense work from Robert Englund there.

2) The Tina body bag scene in the school.Possibly tops the intro of Fred.

Nightmare on elm street, when freRAB chipping stones at tinas window and calling her, gives me the goosebumps everytime, still very effective after all these years.

LOL, thanks. I plucked up the courage to watch it but with the sound off and I scrolled down the screen so I could only see the bottom half - that was enough.

There's also another creepy scene near the end of the film of the vampires waking up in the basement. Shudder- that whole film is creepy as fcuk.

The Ring has a couple of truly creepy moments. The first being when we find out that the girl died, and we get a flash of her in a cupboard and her jaw kinda drops open - That one really spooked me!!

The second is when we saw the faces in the photos and they were distorted.

The video in the Japanese version of the ring scared me shitless.

The music from the Wickerman and Donnie Darko scares me more than the actual film.

I remember being absolutely terrfied of sirens after watching Silent Hill as well.

Two scenes in the original black and white The Haunting - the one where the two women in the bedroom hear something in the hall and something holRAB one of their hanRAB, the other when they've all gathered together downstairs and there's something outside the door and whatever it is it benRAB the door inwarRAB.

In The Devil Rides Out when the horse/horses enters the room and tries to break into the pentacle.

The bit in Zodiac where Jake Gyllenhaal's character is in the basement with someone who it turns out could be the killer but also hears creaking above him so that there may be an accomplice also in the building.

Agree totally with those two! I usually find Hammer horrors quite tame and camp, but there's something about that scene that unnerves me.

I'll add the scene in ThreaRAB long after the bomb has dropped and the woman is giving birth in such desolation-it's her scream and what you don't see that makes it creepy.

But for me one of the creepiest bits of film ever is in the old Public Information Film Apaches. The girl drinks something poisonous in the barn, and it's her screaming and crying for her mum in the night which is bone chilling...and the empty bed.

The scene in The Changeling, when George C Scott hears the ball come down the stairs ... twice !

... and The Childcatcher looking through the grill in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang

Public information films! Yes! I remember watching those kinda things at school. Electricity ones where people are playing with a ball or something and it goes near a transformer and they end up getting killed. Or ones where they deliberately cause mischief, like hitting it with a baseball bat. Then there was one on a building site which i liked. Is that the kind of thing it was? That what you mean?
