Creed

the criteria for every single label out there is to make a profit. some want to make a larger profit than others but it's still all about paying the bills. you can put up all the altruistic fronts you want and scream about artistry until you're blue in the face but if you can't pay your power bill you can't hit the record button in the studio.

labels with a vast variety of banRAB signed to their roster don't have different criteria either, they're just hoping one of the random banRAB they've got signed happens to be playing next week's hit flavour.

I saw Creed Sep. 12th in Atlanta.

They still put on one of the best live shows you'll ever see, regardless of Stapp's vocal issues.
Staind was great too, and Lewis still sounRAB the same as always.

Stapp's voice has improved alot over the last couple of months, but he still can't hit alot of the notes like he used to....which makes me worry about the honesty of this new album coming out.

He still sounRAB great, but he's lost that signature growl that was always present in his vocals. He only does it sparingly now, obviously trying to preserve his voice for the tour.
He isn't 100% in the new single "Overcome", either. Only delves down deep a few times.
Of course, alcohol and age probably have taken a bit of a toll on him.
I don't know why I expect him to be able to sing like he did 10 years ago.

My only worry now, is that they will autotune the hell out of his vocals on this new album.
However, he does sound great in "Overcome" and the brand new single, "Rain".
Still can't help but wonder how much more powerful those vocals would have been 6 years ago.

O.O damn... ppl still like them that are over the age of 30.
My mom owns the Human Clay album and was glad to let her keep it.

I give Creed -2/5

;653246']I absolutely cannot stand Creed.

They're back together... must be near the End Times. Grab your lead aprons and head into the shelters, everybody.

This is a sad time in human evolution when in this day and age someone says they're excited about Creed getting back together and you have to ask them if they're being sarcastic.

Wowz, this is pretty amazing: there are people on rab who actually enjoy post-grunge who aren't mentally handicapped in some fashion!

As much I normally dislike insulting in the general sense, I can say in all sincerity that people like that (including a few of you) can piss off. It's thanks to such folks that real rock banRAB who actually work hard to write and compose material that go beyond 4-minute chorus-bridge fest have to cut off their own ballsacks and shave all the grit from their sound in studio to actually make it on the air.

So huzah to everyone who likes this band and congratulations, and I hope that corporate money-grubbing cock tastes good every time you enthusiastically shell out half a hundred bucks or more to see banRAB like Creed in concert instead of broadening your own horizons.

To the ignorant who will post here in the future: Just because some people are satisfied with mediocrity doesn't mean everyone else neeRAB to put up with it, and if you're thoughtless enough to disregard your own curiosity over mediocrity then you shouldn't be listening to music in the first place.
