Perhaps you can write the report from the perspective of one of the characters--for example, in Timothy's vernacular. You could write it from Philip's perspective, taking into account his blindness and using your other senses to describe everything in your report. If you want to be really creative, you could write from the perspective of the cat... or maybe a short section from each character's perspective, which would show not only your understanding of the story, but also of what each character feels.
