Creationists: Why are you so irrational when debating evolution?

I'm sorry but all I hear from creationists is "Evolution is so stupid, we didn't come from monkeys!" or "I believe it because it's in the bible" Keep in mind, I am not pinning this on all believers or creationists, just the ones who don't take the time to do their research.
 
You base all your knowledge on evolution which takes a great deal of blind faith to believe. You believe it because some professor told you and you accept it without even listening to those on the other side who have a scientific mind. You do some research .
