god was drunk and high on meth that day. that's also when he made the dodo and the ibis. the northern bald ibis to be specific.
edit: i think the platypus was his idea of a mega death machine while suffering from delusions of grandeur from teh meth. it was designed to go into your home and lay all it's eggs underneath your couch and escape down your sewer lines. then they hatch and mass attack you with their poisonous stings. platypus ftw.

Creationists have the ultimate cop-out when confronted with things in nature that are imperfect in some way -- they say that everything IS perfect, at least in God's eyes.
It's hard to argue about the merits of something when one side claims that everything was made perfectly as god intended.
So intellectually dishonest.
