because PHP & MySQL are more powerful tools ...

Is learning (X)HTML, CSS & JavaScript a waste of time to learn ??
Im learning these now and am finding that some code has been deprecated..

I Want to Learn how to create...

Databases Sites
User Forums Sites
ECommerce Sites (paypal / credit cards etc..)

Is PHP / MySQL the best resource for learning these ??

AND..

HOW MUCH (X)HTML & CSS.. do i really need to know if want to learn the list above ??
