When I drive slow enough that wind/road noise doesn't drown it out, I hear what sounds like an irregular creaking or rumbling coming from the vicinity of my two front wheels. It is accentuated by bumps in the road.

Someone suggested that it could be the bearings or the CV joints, but I don't know. Any thoughts? I had the steering rack replaced a month ago and the mechanic didn't notice anything wrong at that point.

ok it could be a bunch of different things...one, your brake pads are shot and needs to be replaced..and if thats the case do it soon because when those pads get worn down theres metal that is suppose to make a annoying sound to let you know they need replaced..and if so get them done as soon as possible...cuz that metal with rub and start eating away your rotors ...which are costly to repair... also it very well could be your cv joints ...youll know when those go out cuz all of a sudden your rpms will go sky high and you wont move ne were or just coast if your driving at the time they go out....and yes bearings, nothing last forever!! i suggest take it in again suggest these few things to check and see what they come up with...hope this helps!!
