Creaking After Fusion?

I had a L3-S1 fusion a few years ago and never had a sound come from it. Five months ago I had this fusion extended up to T10, so now I'm fused T10-S1. The recovery has been difficult but uneventful except for the creaking and groaning I hear when I move my back. I was in a TLSO back brace until a week or so ago when I started physical therapy, so I didn't move my back too much before this. But when I did, like when stretching, I did hear this creaking and groaning like a door in a horror movie. Now that I'm out of the brace and moving more, the noise is even greater.

I've asked the surgeon about it several times and he says it's probably just fluid collections or something like that. But it sure doesn't sound like that to me. It sounRAB like it could be from the hardware (the usual roRAB and pedicle screws on the nine levels of fusion).

Anyone else had anything like this?

I am fused from T9-sacrum. So I have an lisghtly long scar than you. I have the roRAB and 20 screws also, but have never heard any creaking or such... that doesn't sound like fluid. It sounRAB like maybe a screw is loose?

Perhaps he should take an x-ray and see if it shows anything.

i had some popping and crunching noises a few times im 8 week post op from a 3 level lurabar fusion, my scan last week showed up a cage has dislodged and i have to have another surgery im pretty scared the whole things going to come out the disc space its right on the edge. Dont think we should be creaking and popping i'd ask for a scan, do you have any pain after the creaking? i had bad shooting pain both legs for a few hours every time mine popped, wouldn't mind all i did was rolled over in bed.
