Crap I installed something called "flash-plugin_update.40028.exe" on my PC?

I was trying to look for a stream of a football game and came across a site that said that I had to install that in order to view the stream. So I downloaded the file, executed it, but nothing happened. Then an hour later, I started getting pop ups from Internet Explorer even though I use Firefox. So I did an antivirus scan and there was nothing. I did spybot and it had some spyware but those pop ups still randomly came up. I tried doind system restore but it said it was unsuccessful because of an unspecified error. So what do I do now?
 
You may need to run spybot more then once to get the spyware completely removed from your computer. Another possible solution would be to uninstall internet explorer and see if that fixes the issue.
 
You definitely got some malware.

Run Combofix by using the following instructions:

good luck.
 
look at you installed programs and check if you can find it there.
Then try and find its installer file and remove it
If it is to do with flash just uninstall it and then go to macromedia site and re-down load the plugin
if not try a system restore again, it may have been a 1 off.
