Crank kicked ass

I heard this story is a complete ripoff of DOA, the idea of the movie sounds like it but not sure how they pull it off. I've watched too many bad remakes and this seems like another remake, but is it solid or no?

really good movie though, good enough to watch like 5 times
 
i liked it. but the transporter I and II were better than Crank imo. (eventhough they both have different plots). overall, i give Crank a 9/10 for non stop action and comedy.
 
Not so much, but it was entertaining....just a very overused storyline

D.O.A. (1950)
Plot Outline: Frank Bigelow, told he's been poisoned and has only a few days to live, tries to find out who killed him and why.

D.O.A. (1988)

Plot Outline: Someone poisoned Dexter Cornell. He's got to find out who. He's got to find out why. He's got to find out now. In 24 hours, he'll be Dead On Arrival.

Crank (2006)
Plot Outline: A hit man (Statham) learns that a poison injected into his body will kill him if his heart rate drops too much. Now he must exact his revenge on the people who injected him before he takes his last breath.
