I am a financial professional... doing all types of insurances but mostly specialized in life, disability, education planning, long term care, retirment, estate planning, and business succession... I am just getting in Auto, home, business, health insurance... so I have this CPA who wants to work together in his office selling insurance... But as I was talking to him I never felt like he knows how to recomend people in certain financial product in order to save money on taxes for the clients.. I have a feeling that he never worked with any financial professional and don't know if I can teach him what to look for in terms of people's finances in order to referr business to me...another thing he told me was that he doesn't not solicit life insurance and if this is the case how he expects to work with me?? I want to hear what you all have to say ... and what should I do with him to help him understand what's behind financial planning... and how important it is... ??

CPA training is in financial records, not insurance, not investments. Most new CPAs are poorly prepared to make any recommendations about these areas.

It appears that the CPA wants you to train him with your knowledge of the financial and insurance fields. If he is the honest sort, it could be a profitable partnership. If, however, he wants to gain your knowledge, contacts, etc. then show you the door, you will have educated him at little or no expense to him, and perhaps a great loss of income to yourself.

I think your instinct is telling you this man is not a good match for you. Only you can evaluate this. If, however, you decide to go into an income-sharing arrangement, be sure to protect your interests.

This person may not help u on long run better to leave person and do ur own here i also doing same work under MAX NEW YORK LIFE but not Associates with any one only taking help from my sales manager and training manager

In many states a CPA is not allowed to office-share with a non-CPA unless there are separate entrances and signage.

Follow your instincts, which indicate this is not a good match anyway.
