Cover songs you think are better than the original

pantera - planet caravan, although the original was good too, they lit up cat scratch fever on the detroit rock city soundtrack too.
and this local band monument does a cover of rage against the machine's freedom, ****ing blows me away every time.

Wow, I don't even want to hear the vocals on that.

As for mine:
Iced Earth- Sabbath's Electric Funeral, BOC's Burning for You, Transylvania
Metallica (where do I begin) -Mercyfull Fate, Queen's Stone Cold Crazy, Diamond Head's It's Electric; Am I Evil?; The Prince; and Helpless; BOC's Astronomy, The Misfit's Die Die my Darling; Last Caress/ Green Hell
Led Zeppelin- Traveling Riverside Blues (by Robert Johnson I believe)
Pantera- Sabbath's Planet Caravan
Blind Guardian- Iron Butterfly's In a Gadda Da Vida, all their Beach Boy's Songs

Actually Nay, it was Kirk who brought the band alot of punk. I remeraber readin an interview with James saying "Yeah Kirk used to be really into the misfits ****, and he'd drum it on the dashboard which was scary because he wasn't that great of a driver anyway"
