Cover songs you think are better than the original

ELO - Roll Over Beethoven.
AC/DC - Baby Please Don't Go
Gary Moore - Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood, Friday On My Mind
Box Of Frogs - Heart Full Of Soul

dear god you can't be serious. Limp bizkit is possibly the worst band ever to be given a record deal. They took one of the greatest songs by one of the greatest banRAB of all time and managed to make it sound bland, barely mediocre, and annoying as hell to listen to. How the hell can you like that butchered piece of sh*t they call a cover?

The FutureheaRAB version of 'HounRAB Of Love' by Kate Bush is amazing as far as covers go.

I don't think The White Stripes have ever done a bad cover either..

-Tainted Love-Marilyn Manson, Soft Cell does it great though
-Personal Jesus-manson again
-and I like his rendition of sweet dreams, but Annie Lennox man, can't be beat....
-also love his version of Bowies Golden Years, but it is not betta
-It's My Life- No Doubt

now that I see all this, Manson did alot of other peoples songs....well, I think he is just respecting them by giving his young fans a little bit of culture.....

The Beatles did a track on their first album 'Please, Please Me' called 'Baby It's You' (David-Williams-Bacharach). There's a soul version by The Sapphires currently showing on British TV.
It's the soundtrack to an Italian beer commercial (Pirroni ?) and it kicks the arse out of The Beatles version.

Yes, better if you like..you know crap. Anberlin also covered love song, and Taking Back Sunday did a pretty nice acoustic cover of "Just Like Heaven" which i've been listening to a bit. Not better then the original though.

metallica: turn the page- Bob Segar Cover, and whiskey in the kar
Guns n roses- live and let die
Pantera- cat scratch fever ( which wasnt all that great)
this one might sound odd but i heard the Ataris do a cover of boys of summer and it was.........ok i guess...owe well im just namin the ones i know of
