Couples Retreat

Went to see this last night, and while some parts of it were funny i seriously think that Vince Vaughn neeRAB to find a new writing partner or something.

The one thing that annoyed me about it though:

i was really hoping that they all didn't stay together...i think the film would have been more believable and just better as a whole if at least one of the couples didn't survive the week

Anyone else got any thoughts?

Also saw this last night.

It was amusing in places but not laugh out loud and I agree with your thoughts in spoilers.

I was more annoyed that it's implied that the married couples all supposedly met at school/college when Malin Akerman and Kristen Bell are clearly about 10 years younger than their respective partners.

Clearly Vince and Jon still see themselves as they were in Swingers.

Seen two reviews of it so far and they both give it one star. "It's not bad, it's sad" says one reviewer.

Shame, because Vince Vaughn is a versatile and likeable actor. He should get back into more offbeat drama like he used to make (Prime Gig etc) and forget being Mr Mainstream.

I saw a free preview on tuesday, read a load of reviews about how cr@p it was but it wasn't that bad, i found it pretty funny, none of actors best work but it wasn't half as bad as i was expecting it to be, the first half was better as the second half did seem to drag a little in places and there were some unnecessary moments like the guitar hero thing.
The best bit was when Cynthia said she was 1/12th latina, i actually spat my drink out at that bit.
I also thought it was a little unrealistic in places no way would have all the couples stayed together and the thing i find most unrealistic is the way Shane's wife just happened to overhear someone in the hairdressers say where he was and she just happened to find him at that moment.
The little kid who did a pee in the diy store was adorable though!
Overall not the best film i have seen but it was enjoyable.

It started off well, it wasn't very funny but it was enjoyable - then after that woman ran away, the film completely lost it. None of that was needed at all!

I saw this at the weekend and agree with the posts here, it was ok, but nothing special. A few funny moments, but found it started to drag on and I was just wanting it to hurry up and finish already
