I've just gotten into country, im in a state of experimenting with new music.

I've been mainly into punk/rock for quite awhile, but now im kind of disillusioned with the punk scene and have been dipping into some electronic/trance/skratch/and olRABchool rap. and now country. I just listened to some of Alison Krauss's songs and her voice is beautiful!!!

any fans out there?

I wouldn't really call her country music. More or less bluegrass if you asked me.
That's atleast where she got her start. I don't really like women singers, but she is my exception. Her voice is angelic. I saw her back in May and was blown away by her voice.

I think one of her best cd's is Alison Krauss & Union Station - Live

Most country today is crap though. Comparing the country of today to older stuff is like comparing Blink182 to (insert classic punk band here....pixies maybe? )

Forgive me for the mother of all thread bumps. I did an OT search using "Krauss" and this is the only one that showed up.

I just saw Alison Krauss and Robert Plant tonight. They were amazing!

My parents like that shit...I am not a bluegrass fan though. I like some pop country (e.g. Toby Keith, Kenny Chesney, Paul Brandt, etc) but most country sucks dogcock (e.g. Lonestar, that Australian faggot, etc)

Hank Williams III FTW
