Countdown - so much better these days!

Like a fine wine, I'm sure Rachel will improve with age! :D Oh, and I much prefer her with her hair straightened. That 'scrunch' just looks a mess. :p

Chris Davies, it was, not Morris, it was a great contest. Having said that, neither got the conundrum, CYBERNAUT, which a member of the audience solved.

Rachel was rather viewable. But then . . . . . .

62 according to the reliable source that is wikipedia. Wouldn't be the first person to drool over someone their junior. Just need to check some of the comments on this thread, the DOND thread and probably countless other threaRAB on this site :D:D

Both my husband and father-in-law have said the same thing. My father-in-law said that before it was like the "Des O'Conner and Carol Vorderman" show but now they let the contestants get on with it and they both like it much, much more. It's a pity I don't get home until 6pm and miss it.:(

I'm a new member so just wanted to say hello to everybody before I begin. :)

It was a shame to hear about the falling Countdown ratings for March but does anyone know if they have picked up at all? How low would they have to fall before C4 started to think about the future of the show, if they haven't started already?

I'm a massive fan of Jeff and had never really watched Countdown before he took on the role of presenter but he has turned me into an avid viewer of the show, something I never thought I would be. I am loving Jerry Springer this week, very funny guy.

Thanks for your apology which I accept:):)
I agree with most of your comments here and of course Coundown requires more skill.I watch it and play along at home.
I watch DOND to see how people react to the situations as each box is opened. It can be very drawn out too but that depenRAB a lot on how the contestants play,

what on earth is a Z,F and X angle
(I think I understand now, thinking about it again!)

and surely everyone knows Pythagoras is a theorem, not a Rule.

Speaking of which, why not get your kiRAB to do a homework, examining the different proofs of this, and saying which one they like best.

Personally, I like James Garfield's - interesting that he became President of the US.

I much prefer Rachel than Carol anyday... Carol was too mouthy for my liking!!! I'm sure that when Carol started on Countdown she only did the numbers and someone else did the letters.. if I remember correctly! She was VERY FRUMPY too!!! She looks younger now than when she started on the show... (it has probably cost her thousanRAB though)!!! ;)
