Could you tell me your thoughts about the past, present and future of the...

...human civilizations? Past: What do you think of the ancient civilizations and human history?
Present: What do you think of the world nowadays?

I am interested in ancient civilizations and history. I wish I could go there to see the cultures of those civilizations.
In science theory: Time travel to past is basically impossible.
Future: What do you wish for or think of the future development of human civilizations.

Thank you

There were multiple ancient civilizations that learned to live in peace, had perfect labor distribution and lived in total harmony. The sad thing is they were all conquered and assimilated by wicked war-crazed and dominant civilizations, or simply wiped out.

The world nowadays is , if you live in civilized places, the best world to be in, as there is peace almost everywhere and you don't have to worry about being slaughtered all of the sudden.

The future...I don't think our civilization is going to end well. The technology we are equipped with is simply to powerful to be in human beings hands. Nuclear weapons and the advancing computer systems can be a real threat if they get into wrong hands. Each peaceful civilization once came to an end, and since ours is equipped that well, it could end in a nuclear holocaust, which can wipe all humans off the face of the planet.

The romans were very uncivilised. I don't think they were a progressive people. They killed many great people and stole what they could of other peoples technology. They may have sppread it and been useful in that respect, but I think to go around destroying eveeryone elses culture would not have caused great advancement.

I think the world nowdays is corrupt and that we are all lied to and played like puppets.

I wish the Roman Empire had survived and become a Republic again. It is my belief that we could have been on the moon by 1400AD with proper application of technology. The Dark Ages held us back centuries. The Romans' technology was well ahead of 15th century technology and socially they were even further ahead.

500 years after the middle ages we landed on the moon. The middle ages were 1000 years after the final collapse of the western Roman empire, which was more advanced technologically and socially then any medieval civilisation. Imagine what could have been achieved by now had Rome survived.
