Could you take parts from a '92 Ford Taurus and put them in a '99?

We have a 1992 Ford Taurus that runs, but it's in pretty bad shape all around. We're thinking about buying a newer (1995-2000) Taurus and just replacing the parts (that don't work) in that one with our '92 Taurus's parts. Will it work?
