this throbbing in my head has dulled my sight
as I awoke early from my shortened night
coffee, to my surprise was no retreat
could you cut off my head and make it neat?

this little ditty that I write
sings true of my plight
while head and neck are sore
I giggle and my soul does soar

so, with new moon just a day away
could I dance without it any way?
go out at midnight and twirl and leap
my sanity for sure to keep

this is the last of ramblings for today
I wish that I could sit and stay
but duty calls and rest assured
I grin and bear the pain endured...
