Could todays Liberals win World War 2?

I love the answers that say FDR was President so liberals must be able to win a war but remember this every Great General in WW2 was a republican Eisenhower, Patton you name them they were republicans the only Democrat General I can think of is Westmoreland and he was in the war we lost (Vietnam)

FDR was president during WW2. He was one of the most liberal presidents in history. He was also very popular during WW2 so that could be taken to mean that liberals were the majority of those who fought WW2. What do your think?

Ummmmmmm-Franklin Roosevelt was President back then..He was one of the most 'liberal' Presidents we ever had..Have you ever read a history book?

Today's LEFT? Nuke two cities off the face of the earth and be done with it?

Not on your life.

They would prefer living under total tyranny than to harm a lab rat.

But, if the enemy were an army of unborn fetuses, welllllll, that's another matter.

We will never have another conflict of the nature or magnitude of WWII. Nuclear weapons changed the way the game is played. And, Roosevelt was considered very liberal for the time, and guess what. His leadership was instrumental in winning WWII.

Yes, because liberals would have supported war against the aggressors, not another country that had nothing to do with anything.

How would WWII turned out if the President decided to invade Brazil, instead of focusing on the enemy?

The situation in Gaza is more complicated than you think. Presidents of both parties have been struggling with that issue for over 30 years.

I think that WW 2 was the essence of liberalism, i.e. opposing fascism, etc.You must be thinking radical, right wing elements like Henry Ford, etc. and others that came thisclose to submission. Do you ever wonder why they called it the "good war"? The only one worthy of fighting in recent memory. The rest were non threatening provocations that merely enabled our over grown military industrial complex to waste our blood and treasure for a lost cause! I am an enemy of war as the final solution to anything meaningful but I'm not averse to fighting against a tyrant of real and substantial dimension.

Can a war be won by running away?

Or do you mean how most war are started and won, liberals start it and republicans fight it.
