I have suffered with my sinuses for a while. I had a CT scan last year which showed mild inflammation. I am due another scan in 6 weeks time. I was told it was not infected just inflammed but I do get sinus infections often.

I am suffering with my nostrils becoming blocked, just one at a time, mainly my left but it jumps sides. I wake up in the morning and one side if blocked then once i am up it clears but during the day one of them often blocks up abit, not snotty just dry and feeling of it being inflammed?? it can be one side then later that side is totally clear, its so strange.

Its worse in the morning upon waking and at night.

I have don't have any coloured drainage or headaches. I occasionaly get fullness/tinitus in the ears.

Any idea what this sounRAB like? I remeraber suffering with blocked nostrils as a child and I often changed sides in bed to drain my nostrils. I don't have any structural problems on my CT scan. My ENT dr said up my nostrils looks quite red/purple.

I had the same thing all my life it was mainly on my right side though. I had 2 CT scans from 2 different doctors the first one the doctor told me that is was just some swollen turbinates and there was no need for surgery just yet 5 years later things just kept getting worse and worse so i went to another ent and she did a CT scan and told me all the turbinates in my right side were enlarged (not swollen, permenantly enlarged contrary to what the other doctor said) and my septum was also bent causeing no airflow in my right side. So she did surgery on it. I was about an hour of outpatient surgery and a week of recovery it was not bad at all (keep in mind i have an amazing pain tolerence though) but I havn't had the problem scense with my nose or my ears. so you may want to get a second opinion from a different doctor.
