Could this be allergy?

I had the worst chesty cold about a month ago, which took about 2 weeks to go away. Since then I have had a funny chest, in that i have a tickle quite low i my chest and when i breathe right in a want to cough. It doesnt feel right. I have a puppy who is shedding her coat quite a bit right ow and i also ride horses. Could this be allergy, or maybe the after effects of the phlegmy cold i had?

Ive ever suffered from allergies before. Im 47
 
It could be allergies or it could be that the upper respiratory infection triggered a bit of asthma. That tickle in the chest that makes you want to cough could be a sign of asthma. Things are often connected. You might try going to see a doctor to see what they say. Use of a rescue inhaler might help a bit.
