Liberated Individual

Well, here it is;
High in the obsidian, star covered sky, a surreal, bloody crimson moon hung majestically, inexplicably and supernaturally large. The skies many blinking stars looked strangely beautiful as they combined their celestial brilliance with the divergent moon. As the bizarre night sky draped the cerulean planet that was Earth, a horrifying and terrible scream pierced the heavens. The scream was so ghastly and inhumane it would have made children cling to their mother’s, crying and shrieking, while making adults cringe in disgust or fright. The scream had been forcibly divulged by a bedraggled and disheveled girl, her face pale beneath her unkempt and charred ebony hair. The distraught child’s expression was that of extreme misery and her chapped lips became drier as the girl continued shrieking, obviously very horrified. The filthy girl’s appearance however, was nothing, compared to the figure she held tightly in her arms.
A gruesomely and horribly burnt corpse lay in the child’s lithe arms, barely distinguishable as once being human.
The young girl was surrounded by burnt-black debris, the ground littered with wreckage and remains of what might have once been a building. Ashes and corpses were scattered all around the shrieking youth, the abhorrent and macabre scene was enough to make any individual tremendously sickened or repulsed. Suddenly, an unexpected incandescent and holy light illuminated the horrendous sight, as if an army of simultaneous thunder had struck from the heavens and chosen the burnt landscape as its target. The world was momentarily drowned in an enormous and blinding blaze. As the light expanded, a scream of severe intensity and inhumanity ripped through the atmosphere, unrecognizable as a human scream. As the holy light faded itself into nothing but a mere memory, the seemingly beloved corpse lay abandoned on the dilapidated and destructed ground. The horrified girl had disappeared, as if the illumination had devoured her…
