I understand that the majority of Muslims might be "peaceful", but if the peaceful majority doesn't do anything to stop the violent minority, then they're not really "peaceful" are they? I don't understand why moderate Muslims complain about being lumped in with the radicals when they don't even do anything to stop the radicals. So, I think we CAN argue that Islam IS responsible for 9/11 as well as other atrocities because the peaceful majority of Muslims are bystanders and bystanders are just as guilty as perpetrators. Does anyone else see where I'm coming from?
Tim McVeigh is not equivalent to Islamic terrorists. First of all, Tim McVeigh did not commit the Oklahoma City bombings in the name of religion. He did it because he hated the federal government. That alone invalidates the comparison. Secondly, McVeigh was just ONE RANDOM crazy guy. He wasn't part of an organized terrorist group seeking world domination.
