Yep. Different areas seem to experience it more/less.

This rarely happens to me, but for those who have it happen more often I'd suggest having your friends email it to your blackberry addy. Also call up to T-mobile and complain. There could be an issue with the tower you're connected to and if no one complains how can T-mo know to fix it? Chances are you aren't the only one in the area experiencing the issue.

I was having this problem too! I resended my service books a couple of times and had Tmo on the line for almost 30 min but we weren't able to fix it! Weird thing, my sister blackberry was working fine! =/
My gf was having a blast tho! She kept sayin her dash was better than my bb! She has no idea what she talkin about! Lol... =)

They can always send the pictures or files to my bb addy or to my gmail!

I am having the same problem...and I have 2 pearls (white and sapphire)...same problem with both. I called T Mob...they transferred me over to BB support, even they dont know wats goin on. So at the moment, im gving up on this

I have had this problem for ages and it makes me crazy. I have spent at least a day of my life on the phone with tmobile, RIM, etc. I am usually given an excuse of a tower outage, or some other excuse that has nothing to do with it. Another message string said it only happened on wifi, so I disabled my wifi and the picture just came through. Tmobile is supposed to call me back shortly to file a trouble ticket so I'll report this new development to them...

I also experienced this problem, talked to TMO several times each time they help try to fix the problem. Finally I realized when I was on Wifi it happens so when I shut the wifi off I am able to retrieve without problems. If I am not in a wifi area and only on network, my MMS comes in without a problem, so there is definately a problem with wifi retrieving mms.

Third party programs can also cause an issue. If you have downloaded a recent app, go to the security settings through options menu>select app permissions> go to that 3rd party app and select "edit permissions". >go to interactions and expand using the menu button>select "deny" interprocess communication and save. Try to retrieve your message again. If you can, this will indicate a 3rd party app interference.(You can always toggle back to "allow" if it is an app that you use regularly.)I am pretty sure you must enable the Firewall (sec. settings>firewall>enable) for this to work. RIM is aware of this and is working on it.
