good "father figure"? My husband and i have been married for 2 years. we'd been dating for 7 months and 5 months later we got married and i do love him very much. when we got married i knew that before dating me he had just come out of a very long relationship with his ex and they had been together since high school, I don't really know the specifics of why they broke up. They do have a 3 year old daughter together who i adore and he loves her more than anything in this world. well when his ex told my husband that she was pregnant i was with him and the look that came across his face was one of total shock and he didn't say much to me that day... He was helping her out alot and when her daughter was born she asked him to be there with her in the delivery room, I wasn't for it AT ALL. but my husband said that he wasn't just going to let her do "this" by herself. I wasn't happy about it but i let it go. but now 8 months later..he's still visiting her daughter almost daily and they share joint custody of their daughter so he gets her 3 days out of the week and lately he's been bringing over her baby as well. and last night he was in the shower and a text came from Kim saying "she said daddy! today" and when i asked him about it he said it was nothing... am i jumping to conclusions? the other day i asked him about it and he looked me dead in the eye and said "every child deserves to have a father figure in their life". .
