could i use 5w30 oil instead of 10w40 oil in my suzuki swift.which is the best.due...

...a service tomorrow.thanks? I have been told the 10w40 oil is the oil to use, but what is the difference between the 2 oils, would the 5w30 oil do any damage to my cars's engine
