Could I run a copy of fable for mac from the UK on a Canadian IMAC?

Could I run a copy of fable for mac from the UK on a Canadian IMAC? I have a friend in the UK who wants to buy a fable for mac for me and I was wondering if I could or would there be a problem because the game is from the UK and My Imac is Canadian? I ask this question because I tried to play a AU dvd and it wouldn't work on my Laptop and now I cant run fable on my PC laptop (it's to slow).
 
If your Mac has the minimum system requirements to run fable , you can. You must've used up the five times you can change the region code of the DVD player.
