It's for my project/muscle car. It's undergoing a rebuild. Sat for 15 plus years but it starts. Just had low compression and low oil pressure so my friends and I took the motor out and am in the process of rebuilding it. Already have the new rings, gunna get the valves done at a shop, replace all the bearings, reuse the same cam/crank/rods/pistons (perfect shape), get a new chain and do all that. Basically a full rebuild with proper lube and torque specs when putting it back together.
But, since the motor this car came out of (1972 Chevelle) has low mileage (under 50K original), should I replace the lifters? Or could I reuse them? I checked when I first got them and none were stuck or anything so they are in working shape but since it's apart, should I replace the lifters?
