I have a 4.5lb female Yorkshire Terrier and have just bought a male Yorkie who is 10lb in weight would he be to big for my female to have a litter with

Oh yes he is too big. His weight alone could damage her knee caps when breeding. And if you don't know what you are doing, don't breed.

10lbs is 3 pounds out of standard and more than twice her size. Take your pet quality animals and have them fixed. You have ZERO business breeding if you have to ask the general public for answers.

Dear oh dear oh dear......

Just get them both fixed as it clear that you really do not know what you are doing.

Even if he was the right size for her that is only the very very start of responsible breeding.

Add on --- Mel below me has just put this .... and I think it is a perfect quote

Please be responsible about breeding, you are going to be responsible for the lives of many dogs when you breed, and it isn't something to be taken lightly

Don't think it could more suitably put.
