Could I contest this traffic ticket?

Here is the police report. I copy and paste exactly from it. I'm not trying to get out of this nor anything. I just think that this is not my fault, and I shouldn't be ticket for this. I've been so stressed out over this over the past few months. I'm not working right now and currently applying for nursing school. I felt that I didn't do anything wrong. I'm really worried if this going categorized me as a criminal. I know that I have to do a criminal background check prior to getting into nursing school. I'm also worried that my insurance with increased.

Unit #2 and Unit #1 were both driving eastbound and approached a stop sign. Unit #1 is a semi-truck which was towing a semi trailer which contained 3 axels. The front pass. side tire of the trailer struck unit #2 front end while making a turn. Both units were to turn right on the feeder road. It is the investigators opinion that unit #2 saw an opportunity to sneak a quick right turn while unit #1 was making a wide turn to also travel south. I formed this opinion because the driver of unit #2 was evasive when I questioned him about the motion of his vehicle (whether or not he was stopped at the stop sign and whether or not he saw the enormous tractor trailer). The driver #2 always was evasive about having a driver license vs an ID. The driver of unit #2 changed his story throughout the investigation. Unit #2 was ticketed for this account.

Witness statement: I was traveling southbound and was about 100 feet north from plaza verde. One minute I saw that silver car (mine). Then I saw the semi truck unit #1 seem to go around him. I think this accident is the semi’s fault.

Well this accident happen two months ago. This is the first time I ever been into an accident or gotten a ticket. I was really scared when I walk out of the car. I call the police to get a police report. I didn't drive on purpose without a driver license. When I look through my wallet for my driver license I couldn't find it. I gave him my department of safety under 21 identification card. He kept on asking what was my driver license number or where did I put my driver license. At that time I didn't even know how to tell him where I put my driver license. I told him I think I lost it. He started to raise his voice, so I got a little intimidated. I never talk to a cop in my life. I also don't remember him asking me did I see the truck. He only spent like 2 minutes asking me where was my driver license and did I have insurance. He spent the majority of his time inside his car. I knew that I got to the stop sign first because I was looking towards my left to see if any incoming cars were coming. The second time I look to my left the 18 wheeler block my view. He proceeded to take a right turn and hit my car. I also had a witness who stayed back to give him a statement. The pink slip that he gave me stated that I fail to maintain single lane. On the police report he wrote down failure to maintain speed.

I just don't think it's right that he made a judgment based on how I answer him with my driver license. I was scared after he raised his voice. I kind of stuttered when I answer him.

For the first offense, I called the clerk. She told me to bring my driver license in and just pay $10 for court fees. The judge dismiss that offense already. I don't know why he gave me a citation for failure to maintain single lane on the pink slip ( the original one). He then change it to failure to maintain speed. I couldn't possibly be speeding nor driving to slow if I stop on the stop sign. I was next to the stop sign and the 18 wheeler was on the left of me. Other cars were park right behind mine. I came out and ask the guy behind me if he saw everything. He nodded, but drove away a few minutes later. He didn't know that much English.
