Could I be pregnant? Has anyone been pregnant but had a negative home pregnancy test?

I am 24 years old and my periods have ALWAYS been regular. I had one irregular period right after I had my gallbladder removed in June of 2008 and ever since then they have been regular again until recently. I had a period in June... Then in July no period... Then in August I randomly had a period on the 20th, it was regular and lasting about 4 days. Then in September no period... and now we are in October. I have been having period cramping for over two weeks with no period. I even wore a tampon over a week ago because I was so sure I would start my period. My breast are extremely sore I can feel them even when I'm walking fast or laying on my stomach in bed. I've had period cramping and sore breasts for over two weeks and only one period since June. I did take a pregnancy test (two actually) back in July and early August and it was negative. But my mom said that I never showed up on a pregnancy test for her either. I have been more stressed than usual because I am planning a wedding in March. But I cant understand why I would be having symptoms of getting my period and they just aren't coming. I usually would not be looking to yahoo answers for advice but my Gyno is booked solid until November and I am on a waiting list. Any advice or feedback?

Some women do test negative on home pregnancy tests when they are in fact pregnant. The best thing to do would be to go to the doctor and have a blood test and an ultrasound taken. If you are not pregnant, it is possible to have cysts on your ovaries from all of the stress from planning your wedding. Going to the doctor would definitely be the best option and it could really help you in the long run.
