Could I attend a different Town's Public high school?

I'm currently living in Closter, NJ and I want to go to Fort Lee Public High school. Do you know if this i possible?


I know a friend who goes to my (public) high school and he's from Englewood (different town) and attends my high school. He says he has to pay extra to go to our high school, but I can't tell if he's telling the truth.


Do I HAVE to live in that specific town to attend their public High School? or could I pay my way in?
 
considering you don't pay for a public school...
you'd have to be zoned for that school in order to go to it.
